Thin carrots which are two-per-newspaper pot?
« on: May 27, 2009, 15:48 »
I've got some carrots that I started in Newspaper pots.  Most of them have two that have germinated. The paper pots are about 2.5" diameter, and quite deep.  I was inclined to plant them as they are, and then take one of them as a "thinning" when it is reasonably mature, leaving the second to bulk up.  The paper-pots are going to be planted several inches apart, so I think they will have room (and I'd prefer to have more carrots, rather than fewer show-winners :)

What would you do please?

I'd do exactly what you said and plant them as they are, not too far apart either so you get the most out of the area  :D

Carrot thinnings are yummy  :)
