I have a dog kennel (dog passed 4 years ago) which is sitting in my garden, doing nothing much, and want to convert it into a chicken house,
Its pretty large, i know i will need to hinge the roof to allow access for cleaning, and probably some kind of lining at bottom for easy cleaning, but what else will it need?
 ie perch, nest box?

have looked around at various coops and wondered whats necessary for happy chooks and what can be done without
