THE RESULTS ARE IN!

there has been a lot of posts about slugs and the like,i have done a few tests of my own to try to come up with an answer to this terrible curse!
so i collected a few slugs some small some big and some very big and put them on grass,plastic,glass and soil/compost with a circle of soot around them and waited to see....i came back a few hours later to find that all had given up the ghost!!!

so i think that might be the problem sorted

any comments :?:

we are limited to fires between 7am and 7pm and if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction, then yer've had it too. made a fire the other day for some ash, got it lit then noticed a neighbouring house had washing out so i threw on a tyre.

SO can I be dim and ask is it good to spread ash around the plot then? My neighbour had his chimney swept last week and said the sweep offered him the 3 bags of soot if he had an allotmet, he said he thought of me, but wasn't sure I'd want it, so said no! :? So would it have been good to have??

think we had cross wires,i was talking about inside open fires..not outside ones :roll:
