Can some one tell me what this wild flower is? The bees love it and it comes back year afer year from seed?

Well thank you kindly people - it came in a packet of wild flower mix from the BBC a couple of years back being given away free in our local friendly very large shopping centre.

Hi Christine,  I didn't know what the plant was but from your picture it looks really pretty and we love having wildlife in the garden - at the risk of seeming cheeky, could you spare some seeds/seedpods? (did you want to swop for something else?)

Hi Piccolo, I'll save some of the seed when the flowers get that far for you no problem as there will be plenty - it will be quite some time yet before any ripens though. If you send me a PM with your address I'll post some off to you as soon as there is some available. No need to offer a swap as the stuff seeds like there's no tomorrow

hi ,yes that is phacelia/scorpion weed and the bees/butterflies love it. it is used as a green manure to dig in before flowering{shame} you can buy a big packet for about £2.00 from most garden centres under the green manure banner
