Many thanks but we have had enough!
« on: July 02, 2020, 14:53 »
Good afternoon everyone,
our strawberry crop this year has been fantastic (variety Alice), now the fruiting is slowly coming to an end, what to do with the plants in the way of ensuring a good crop next year (and to thank them for this years crop)?

Cheers,  Tony

Cut all the leaves off, clear away the debris & any straw you may have used & give them a feed, I usually use blood, fish & bone or chicken pellets. New leaves will soon regrow & you they may put out runners that you could peg down for new plants but if they were new this year I would take them off

Good morning to you all,
snowdrops- I thought the leaves should be left on a little longer to help the plant replenish its resourses?  I await your response!
Cheers,  Tony.

Hi Tony, I've always read & followed the advice I suggested but I’m sure there’ll be others along to disagree  :D :D.
