Do Raspberry canes take up much room?

Can you grow in a large pot?

Do they go mental like wild blackberries?

Fancy having a go at some but only do GYO in the garden at home, which is a fair size but 'L' shaped as house is a bungalow.  Point being everything is near the house so wouldn't want a rampant bush near by.

As much room as you let them.

Don't see why not if you have to, but you're making work for yourself with watering and they are top heavy.

Not quite!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Thankss DD.

There is a shaded corner that would be suitable, not sure what our earth is like but shrubs grow in it fine enough.  Although everytime I dig in our garden I find victorian bottles, claypipes, cockery which is all very interesting the land used to belong to a big house which was opposite where William Blake stayed for a couple of years............anyway I digress...............................

Do they mind shade?

They're best in full sun, but don't mind a bit of shade.
