Title: Kiwi
Post by: Plot74 on June 04, 2012, 10:51
Can anyone tell me what type of soil kiwi fruit grows best in.
I was asked this question by a friend at work and could not answer.
Cheers in advance
John

Can't really answer your question but mine is in the same soil as everything else at the allotment  and has grown pretty well over the last couple of years

I think it is happy in relatively neutral soil.

It likes restricted roots, so grow it in a pot or a hole which has its sides lined e.g. with paving slabs.

Don't use multipurpose compost if it's in a pot.  Use John Innes #3.
