Incubation clock??
« on: August 13, 2020, 13:42 »
I wonder if you can help me, I purchased this 24 hour clock from an antique dealer, he purchased it from an egg farm which was selling up due to bereavement, the son of the bereaved had not taken farming as a career, so  had no idea of its use, but thought that it had something to do with egg or chicks incubation.
It is powered by 240v mains electric, there is no maker of the clock at all on it.

It is a 24 hour clock with a face of about 10 inches wide, it has a pointer similar to what there is on a barometer where you can move it to a position of your choice.

I have contacted loads  of farming museums including the science museum at London but everyone has drawn a blank, I also contacted the electric motor manufacturer, the person who replied had worked for them for 30 years and he had never seen this type of motor, so that gives me some sort of date that it could have been made.

Do you have any knowledge what this clock might be used for, I enclose photos
