Title: Codling moth confusion.
Post by: Kleftiwallah on January 22, 2022, 11:32
Good morning everyone,
I have made a Codling moth trap in the shed from off-cut bits of stainless steel mesh and sheet  as the green plastic construction falls apart after a couple of years.  Searching for a Grapholita prunivora or plum moth trap refill only, I'm getting confused as some say "Codling moth trap refill for apples & pears.

I need it for a plum tree so why does the phrase  "For apples & pears" appear in the advert?
Cheers,  Tony.

A quick search for "plum maggot monitoring trap refill" should get you what you're looking for.

I have done that, that's where I got the phrase "For apples & pears" from.  So is this pheromone trap for all fruit, apples, pears and plums, if so why call it Plum moth trap?

Cheers,  Tony.
