Hi

my oafish boyfriend has sacrificed my rhubarb syrup out of the freezer- I was saving it to use with vodka at end of month payday. This was to make space for his oven chips (when we've got tatties to be dug up the lottie!)

I really have to do something interesting dessertish and yummy this evening with it, as I'll never get round to doing something with it during the week.

Any ideas? I don't have any icecream, or cream or bread, but I do have eggs, flour, sugar, custard powder,

Any clues ladies and gentlemen?

If you have already made it into syrup it should already be preserved enough to survive out of the freezer and recon you will have plenty of time to think of something to do with it.

i've bottled it and put it in the fridge- it is drinkable as squash, it was made out of the first of the seasons forced rhubarb, so not too tarte!

Hopefully as you've mentioned, it should keep. My OH is going on the hunt for cheap gin soon, I may persuade him to get a bottle of vodka as well.
