Our first hatchings of our shaver blacks are due tomorrow!!!  Will be interesting to see what we get! 

And 3 weeks ago, a young teenager who bought some chicks from us now has his own little 10 egg incubator, and I was lucky enough to have 2 silkie eggs, so gave them to him to help fill it up.

He called me 2 days ago, they both hatched! So Klaus the cockerel still knows what to do! lol

Funny I started this thread, just afterwards Brian called out 2 have pipped.  Just had yet another look, and there are 12 pipping!!

woohoooo, so the 2 young cockerals know what to do too! 

Got one egg in there from Rocky crossed with our light sussex.  Would love to think poor old rocky who seems to be on his last legs has still got it too!  He does do the business, but only when the girls are lying down!

You put that picture of Mum on before Grannie.  I know it made me laugh then and still does as she looks rather unstable    but lovely of course.

Well we have about 55 hatched now, as usual, over 50% are cockerals, but at least with the blacks we know which is which so won't have to feed them until they start crowing!

Yes, Sue Anne, that is the picture I put on before.  I love that one!  She does look a little unstable! lol
