24 eggs arrived for incubate:)

Hi
after long time sleepless night i decided to get hatching eggs and try my best.I know it will be a bit difficult time because of winter but if i dont try i ll never know.and also i thought it can be good opportunity and info for people who wants to hatch egg winter,buy hatching eggs from ebay...etc
i ll keep update info

Good luck, I hope that they are fertile otherwise it will be a non starter.  What breed are they?

i bought mix hatching eggs.
there are Light Sussex,Buff Sussex,Andalusian,Oprington,Wyandotte,Leghorn,Bluebell..etc

Good luck, I had a terrible hatch rate with eBay eggs, 1 out of six hatched and only one other was fertile but failed to grow. (I also had issues with the I curator packing up on day 17!)
It's a really exciting thing to do, just the time of year sucks unless you have somewhere for them indoors or in a garage until they are old enough.

Wll be interested to see how you get on, make sure you keep us updated
Gained an allotment on the 19th June 08, 135ft by 40ft! eekk. Finally after 4 years it is looking like an allotment and not a jungle

We have 5 lovely hens in the garden, fish, 2 dogs and 2 canaries

Day 1 before i put te eggs in incubator,i switch on and running  about 2 hours for worming up.
Today day 2
Temp....37.5 C
Humidty....%45
Turning eggs 3-4 times a day

i hope they will hutch.its very exciting.
day 3 :)
looks ok at the moment.no power cut or any problem with incubator.but my little son trying to understand ''what is big white box with lights on and makes funny noises''  :D

Check the fertility with egg candler.
20 fertily eggs i have.4 of them wasnt.hope everything ll be ok in next 2 weeks

Day 16
Everything seems ok at the moment.I ve been checking fertility and most of them ok.
Still turning the eggs 3 times a day.
Very excited  :blink:

I don't have chickens and don't have facilities for them but since joining this forum I love reading about all the other members girls and boys.   I am all excited for you - when do you expect them to hatch?

They usually take 21 days to hatch but can be a few days late,   :blink:
