hi

we have had our chickens now for about 5 weeks, all 10 are fine all eating and drinking but one of them has yellowy colour poo that is very soft and frothy she also has a dirty bum, she is feeding and running around with the others she seems fine in herself but we are abit worried.

any one any ideas

I'd worm them if I were you !  I use flubenvet but there are other options.  Do read the worm information topic  :D

Sounds very familiar.
Ours had yellow poo on and off for ages(6 weeks at least) after we got them home.We wormed them with flubenvet and the problem still carried on for a while, but at least 2 months on and they seem to be pooing properly...green and white just like they are supposed to.

         Thats the ticket, worm them and de-louse them at the same time .Then do the same in 2 weeks time :shock: . Also can I suggest you do the same procedure every 4 months. :shock:  :shock:

yes we are adding apple cider vinegar to their water, but it is one from the supermarket and I have just read on here that we should being adding an unrefined one as used for horese, can you tell me where I can get that from please

hi

we have dusted the coop with red mite powder when we got them although the coop was brand knew and it has been done again today we have had them approx 4/5 weeks, I am going to speak to the breeder tomorrow as she is only down the road so she should have some wormer for me and also have a look at her for me to make sure everything is alright

will keep you posted on how things are

We may give you advice here but there is nothing quite so good as actually seeing the bird  :D
