Yes I got some squash plants 2 weeks ago

not sure if they still have them now, but they were not on special offer.  They were organic and in bio degradable pots.  Hope you can get some.

Lots of places still selling veg plants. Focus, B&Q, Homebase etc.........but to me they never look as healthy or strong as homegrown. Maybe cos they haven't been pampered like we pamper ours?
Better outlets might include the old fella selling surplus lottie plants at car boot or similar. You then know each and every plant has been individually cared for, not a conveyor belt system.
On a different note, last week I paid £5 for SIX.....repeat SIX bean poles at Focus.
Then saw what Wilko is selling them for
Glad you got sorted anyway, Juliet

Our local pet shop sells quite good looking veg plants sometimes - worth looking around. But on our site people swap plants all the time. Someone gave me 6 tom plants on Saturday.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Wyvale garden centres have still got loads of plants.  Organic ones as well as ordinary.

No veg plants in my B&Q. Spoke to a very nice manager who says she's been asking for veg plants from HQ for four weeks, but none forthcoming so far.

Homebase have veggies at the moment _ I bought some squash there this weekend! INSTORE have bamboo poles 20 for £1.99. POUNDLAND also have bamboo poles for 25 for yep you guessed it £1.00 but they are short ish and thin looking but for a £1.00 you can always find some use for them! POUNDLAND are also selling plastic covered DIY cloche tunnels for errrmmm £1. Its a wire and plastic ...pretty cheap looking but might last a season....better ones might cost you £15. and wire to make your own cloches would set back more than £1

I was in my local wyvale garden centre yesterday and they are selling off quite a few veggie plants at 50% off. I got 2 trays of lettuce which looked a  bit sorry for themselves but have really perked up now they're planted.

They had squash and pumpkin plants, beans, corgettes, and lots of other bits and bobs.

I also picked up 2 trays of 8 bedding plants for £3.00 each instead of £6.00 each.

It looked like there where lots of bargains to be had. They were also selling all their veg packs (onions, rhubarb, etc) and packets of gladioli and lily bulbs at 50p each.   Some of the gladioli packs had a good 15 bulbs in each.

i went to b & q today, they wanted £1.50 per courgette plant and wyevale wanted £1.99 so i didn't buy any. I did get a bargain at wyevale on asparagus crowns, they had 2 in a packet, purple ones for £1.99  a pack, but reduced to 50p which was good. Only had 2 packs left, when i paid for them they came up as 50p total. Bargain.

I guess i will have to wait for a sunny day to go to the boot fair and buy my squash plants cheap. Unless by some miracle the seeds i put in yesterday germinate.......
