Wilko's again ! anyway its cheap so I shop there

They are doing raspberries, redcurrants, and blackcurrant plants for £1, in their "right£price range".  Don't know how good they will be but I've bought a redcurrant to give it a whirl.

And they have seed pots in but I cant remember the price of the big bags but Pink fir are 10 tubers for £1.90

Good guess, good guess!

Leicestershire people - it's worth checking out Brookside Nurseries in Anstey. Last year seed tatties were £1 a kilo, including Pink Fir Apple & Sarpo Mira.

Onion & shallot sets, £1.79 a kilo & peas £2.99 a kilo.

Big advantage is that they are all loose, you can select the ones you want and if you need 17 spuds for a row - you buy 17 spuds!

Depends on your store but very soon, mines not even got the stands out for them but the bigger 1 I visited today had got the stands out and ready but no onion sets only the small bags of things like garlic etc.

If you have a local lottie shop it's well worth checking that out as they seem to be very cheap, well ours is.

cheers richy,  I will have a look over its about 20 miles away i think. so dont go often as i would like.  B&Q is closer so will also check them out.

our allotments dont have a hut or sales or anything like that yet but they are just in the process of starting a committee etc.

Potatoes, onions and shallots were on sale at B & Q in Leeds yesterday when I visited, so they are probably in all of their stores. I noticed one type of potato was Desiree but didn't really have a good look.
I'm really lucky because we have a allotment shop and I've ordered some potatoes and onion sets through them at amazingly low prices
