HELP I HAVE LOADS OF WHITE FLYS IN MY COMPOST WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? :cry:

Hi Angelwings your compost bin is probably not hot enough to kill the fly's or their young. try stirring it up to get some air into it, also make sure the bits you are adding are small in particle size this helps speed up decomposition due to greater surface area. Not too wet is it ?

You could try adding some dry material to it straw, hay , shredded paper or cardboard, again give it a good mix round, do you have a lid on it ?

No. I will had some paper etc hopefull it will get rid of the flys thank you so much for your help I didnt want the flys to get on to my new plants and I get fed up of being attacked everytime I open it up. Again thanks

Like I say make sure it's shredded up and mix it in well, you could add a "compost maker" like garrotta don't know if the spellings right, that may speed things up for you. and hopefully rid you of those flys.
