turkey meat
« on: December 16, 2021, 15:20 »
I bought a joint of frozen turkey meat yesterday it was made up from the thighs and leg meat as I don't eat the breast or white meat of turkey I much prefer the brown meat but as the wife doesn't eat the brown turkey meat

I've been told when we thaw the joint and cook it any leftover turkey meat can be re-cooked provided its thoroughly cooked again is this rite?

because I have to say I am a bit sceptical about re-cooking meat like chicken and turkey any advise much appreciated RW

Once frozen turkey meat has been thawed, just cook and treat it the same as you would any meat that has been cooked.
You can safely make meals from the leftovers, eat them straight away or freeze them, then just make sure they are reheated properly, same as anything that's been frozen.
Other than that, It doesn't require any different treatment/cooking just because it poultry, or because it was frozen  :)

Last night I ate a casserole which had been in the freezer for a year.  It was alright and so am I.  :D  Mrs Bouquet
