someone kindly gave me a link to the wire for our chicken run but i cant remember who or when.Im about to order it and wondered whether to go for 1/2 squares or 1in squares?Also do we get 1mm thickness or 1.6mm?
please help  :D

We have the welded mesh with 1inch squares Fruity, and it has been fine! Rob might be around later, there again, it is past his bedtime! :lol: :lol:

For fox-proofing, 1mm (19g) thick is cited as adequate. I have no personal experience but that's what the experts say. :)
I use 25x13mm (1x1/2") to keep rats out. I think 1" will allow them into the run but they'll probably get in anyway  ::)

1.6mm can only be an improvement but you'll obviously pay more.

19 gauge for me too!
although, now you've said it, 1.6 sounds better.

my holes are 1cm squared. there's no way a predator can get his teeth round it!  :unsure:

1in square and 1mm guage is what we are going for.
