I harvested the last of the plot leek (still a few left in the garden) picked some chard and the first of the Timperley Early rhubarb. So a crumble is on the cards for the weekend :)

Harvested some wonderful spinach and radishes today for a dinner salad. It's the best spinach I've grown in a decade.
Probably will start harvesting Romaine and Bibb lettuce in a week or two.

Spinach, lettuce, radishes today.

Yesterday, it was turnip greens and spinach that went into an Indian saag.

Picked the first few peas today (snow peas and sugar snap peas). Just a small handful, but enough to add to a stir fry. The plants are 6 feet tall, growing and flowering like mad.  There should be many more peas soon.

Dug up some leeks that had overwintered.  Some had gone very woody so not worth using IMHO, but some seem ok and worthy of a decent soup :)

More snow and sugar snap peas, some lettuce, and nearly the last of the spinach until the weather gets cold. The peas are yielding significantly more now than before.

This was from the weekend, but I have only just got around to posting it.  Greens from the plot  :)

The leaves top right in the colander are lovage.  I dried them in the dehydrator and crumbled them up.  It is a great dried herb to have on hand through the winter and was the first outing for the dehydrator this season.

Was just moving my pots of early spuds in the greenhouse and noticed this escapee under one of the pots. Really surprised how big it is so early. Will still give them a bit longer as I doubt there was much more than that in the pot.

I'm amazed people have much to harvest now. I haven't managed to get anything outside to grow yet this year. My harvest this year so far is last years leeks and early PSB, a bit of last years kale and last years Asturian tree cabbage.

I’m now getting regular pickings of asparagus, even enough to give my daughter some yesterday when she called round for a coffee and as if by magic there was enough for another picking today and drum roll please.....my first poly tunnel harvest ever...lettuce leaves, these were sown in the greenhouse before I had the tunnel & transplanted into modules & planted soon after the skin went on.
