What are you trying to achieve by doing so?  It wouldn't be an adequate replacement for direct watering.

Best to water the roots rather than the plants IMO.
Wet foliage and humidity can lead to blight or Botrytis.

As MoS said, better to water the roots that watering the leaves to reduce chances of disease.

If watering overhead can't be avoided, do it early in the day, if possible, so water has a chance to evaporate before nightfall.  The same can be said for many plants.
