We transplanted some into dads and lost about half, it didnt bother me too much as they spring up in our paths like weeds so i just keep digging them out and then in again. Lotsof water has been key

I have got this problem. The autumn raspberries all died and the summer ones look very poor. Later on I will swop the strawberries for the raspberries and enrich the soil. If you google dying raspberries you will find several threads with this problem. Nobody seems to have an answer other than 'root rot' The soil is clay based so for that reason I will plant the new plants in a loam soil with good drainage.
