can this go on compost heap?
« on: October 29, 2008, 14:39 »
In the cat's litter tray i use natural clay material. I remove 'solids' as and when.....so can i put what's left on heap.......

You CAN put on layers of earth (the clay) and you CAN use pee so am i right in thinking i can use it.  :?

Or can someone else tell me why i shouldn't.........................

I use the the wood pellet stuff that ends up as sawdust.... could I add that to the compost heap?
Snappy

No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch.

I could give up chocolate but I'm not a quitter.

I was wondering that too, Snap, as that's what we use. I think it's mainly pine though, and I don't know if it would be too acidic?
Sal

Organic...so far!

Don't use the wood based cat litter. I did and it stunted the growth everywhere I used it !

Was that uncomposted?
Sounds like it was and was taking N from the area to decompose.
