so the snow's back with us again boys and Girls reminds me of the beast from the east  as I thought someone said no more snow

Good point I popped into Homebase this afternoon just to have a look at what they had in the gardening line. Interesting to see that they had a range of veg seedlings eg beetroot that were hiding inside in the warm! They would normally be outside but it was literally freezing so clearly they thought it was too cold to put them out. The snow has started to melt here now but I will await tomorrow with interest.

Well, yesterday, on MetO  we had yellow warnings for snow for today, Thursday and Friday....
We got a sprinkle this morning that turned to rain and the warnings for the rest of the week have been taken down

We started off with a couple of inches of snow here, and it was still snowing at 5.30am but had mostly gone by mid-day!

Nothing on the south coast.  Quite a lot of rain in the last 48 hours and it's blooming cold.

The forecast has changed so much that we are forecast to reach 10C by lunchtime, no sun granted, but the temperature change!

It's trying a bit of sleet at the moment but supposedly we're in for it later on today and tomorrow.

if you remember I did say the beast from the east was returning the other week and the comments where not on your nelly or words to that effect now  who's laughing now

The recent snow showers have been nowt like the  'beast from the east', its been here one minute and gone the next!
When beast from the east hit the north east, I was out salt spreading every night, it was terrible driving snow that laid thick and fast!

We had a fine layer of snow overnight and now the sun is out.
