I will add you, but you have to have made 50 posts by the end of October, before judging :)

Can I have a go please.
Reg

I grow 6 pumpkin's every year and on Halloween night we go to my daughters home and have a BBQ and carve up the pumpkin's, the first year my youngest daughters husband said NO WAY it's childish, well he did have a go and his was the best one.
We are this year thinking of floating them down the canal with lights in them.
I'm lost without my SatNav.

Sorry I diidn't know about the 50 post part  !!

Is there anything else that happens when 50 posts are reached ?
You may be only one person in the world,  but you may also be the world to one person.

Nothing too remarkable!

It's just an arbitary level set to ensure that it's our active members that can participate and not someone who joins trying to win the competitions, (not just this one), although you'll never make your fortune from the prizes.

I'll sure you'll manage another 15 posts before the end of October!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I planted my first one yesterday in a space the first earlies came from. Sank a plant pot next to it so the water goes to the roots. How often should I water it?
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

I have 3 fruits so far getting on for tea plate size ( obviously not flat  ::) - couldn't think of a ball the same size!)

Just need to keep them going and keep the insects away!!  Probably need to feed them too !

Just to help get my numbers up to fifty so i can claim 1st prize    :D thought i would provide a quick update pic of my pumpkin, the black case is off my blackberry as a size guide.
problem is this plant has 4 pumkins of similar size on the same vine and i cant bring myself to cull the others to make it focus on just one!
