Oh..................

Plenty of slug pellets for us then, glad to say I have some in stock - one of the about the only chemicals we are using at the mo.

I guess that those of you who are organic know that there are organic slug pellets out there to be had - never used them only seen them on the internet - but they are expensive.

use slug pellets, and though I hate to, I will carry on using them until I can afford nemaslug for the whole of my plot, and thats not looking likely in the near future  :?

I cant remember seeing any liquid repellants like the article mentioned?

I'm going to have to try some of those, as I'm fighting a losing battle at the moment, want to know if they're dangerous to birds/mammals first though, not just organic.

The brand name for nematodes - a parasite that preys on the slugs.

Not cheap though.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

about £9 to treat  100 sq/m for 6 weeks.

there tiny microscopic parasitic worms that eat the baby slugs.........

you can get garlic   grains as well......... just sprinkle round base of plant

The sales blurb says:

nemaslug slug killer - large pack

Do your young vegetable plants look wonderfully healthy one day – and the next morning look like your grandma’s lace doily?

The culprits are most certainly nocturnal slugs that live in the soil, waking up to ravage your beloved plants while you sleep.

We have been conducting our own tests over the last couple of growing seasons and have found Nemaslug to be both easy to apply and effective.

Nemaslug contains millions of naturally occurring microscopic nematodes that kill slugs both above and below ground. Completely harmless to birds, hedgehogs and other wildlife (including pets and children).

I like the way they classify children as 'other wildlife'.
