POLs in Aberdeenshire?
« on: March 20, 2012, 13:09 »
Hello everyone,

Nice to meet you all. :)

Forgive me if this question has been asked elsewhere, but can anyone recommend a good supplier of POLs in Aberdeenshire?  We are hoping for Black Rocks, but would be delighted just to find a reliable, good place with healthy birds.  One of the places listed in the Aberdeenshire section of the breeders list here isn't very trustworthy, so I'm a bit cautious.

I'd be grateful for your input,

Thanks folks, xx
No sense in being pessimistic It wouldn’t work anyway.

Hi Mrs Apron

welcome to the forum. The official black rock hens (these are the true strain - not all black rocks you see are, though they are the same cross) originate at a hatchery near Oban. If you go their website they should have a list of approved dealers:

Hope this helps.

We managed to contact an approved agent for Black Rocks in Fife.  A bit of a drive, but worth it for top quality birds.

So excited, only 10 weeks to go til we can bring home our girls! :)
