Got a shed!
« on: September 10, 2007, 14:55 »
Someone up there must be smiling on me. I was working at the allotment this morning and someone came in with a dismantled shed asking if anyone might want it or he was going to throw it away at the tip. As I am the only plot without a shed, I jumped at it.

Its got a floor and even the roof covering.

Now I've just got to work out how to put it together and clear the space at the bottom of the plot for it to go.  :?
Lynne.

So much to do, but so little time.

It's a shed, not a jigsaw.

Why don't I ever get that sort of luck - I must have "just missed" at least four sheds of freecycle in the last 6 months  :x

That's quite right Munty. I would have nailed the sides to the floor first if you hadn't told me otherwise.

I'm still clearing away the old burnt out shed (along with glass, millions of melted pots, and bag fulls of half burnt old clothes :? ) to put the new one up in the same place. My neighbour is going to help as I would struggle on my own.

I'm hoping it will all be done in another week.

good on ya ... remember to stand it on some bricks around the sides and corners allowing the air to get under this helps stop the rats digging under and you can bait it without worrying about birds etc getting the bait
