anyone got any inspiring ideas for this?

Hi Jenny B.  Just use the leaf as you would spinach and the stem can be cooked as a vegetable in it's own right.
Cheese makes everything better.

ditto ice hockey - and I feed it to my guinea pigs in small quantities.
I add it to curries, steam it + knob of butter and black pepper, chop up the stalks and add them to risottos...if the freezer is full and you can't give anymore away, you can always just add it to the compost heap - the main tap root goes down quite deep into the soil so it must be full of nutrients which'll be good for the compost.  If you leave a couple of plants in the ground it'll flower and set seed everywhere for you next year too!

thats all i do with it anyway.....

am going to try and add it into a veggie lasagne tonight...

Fry some chopped onions, add small cubed potato and cook until crispy. Add favourite spices or a curry mix, chopped chard, some quartered tomato, lemon juice, salt and pepper.  Some greek yoghurt is nice with it too.  If you are not veggie, add a chop. :wink:
