Well, I went to the allotment yesterday all set to sowing my broccoli, caurliflower and carrots . Turns out I've no caurliflower seeds but have 2 types of broccoli (normal green and purple sprouting). Got those done in pots as per DD's instructions and watered and protected. Then I prepared the carrot bed all ready to plant the seeds (Nantes), but when I opened the seed packet, instead of 1100 seeds as the packet says, I only found about 10? :shock: I thought the packet felt pretty empty, but on closer inspection, it turns out the seal at the bottom had a little slit where the seeds might have made their way out of - DUH   !

Anyway, I now need to buy more carrot seeds so I can plant in the next 2 days (working tonight, so may plant tomorrow PM or Saturday, weather permitting). Any helpful suggestions please, before I confuse myself even more? There are so many varieties, and looking at them all and trying to decide is making my head buzz with confusion   :?   as well as excitement, and my silly brain's telling me to try the yellow and red varieties as well as many others, but I'm new to all this and I have to keep simple before my expolrer side takes over  :roll:  ....... HELP!!!!

Oh, I also planted the peas, so here's to hoping! And I got more sweetcorn plants, 2 cucumber plants and 1 courgette plant from a couple of neighbours which I promptly plante into my 3 sisters patch so I'm       at the moment!!!

Note to self - Do not save seeds as possible mutant curcubits will emerge from those! I've 1 pumpkin, 1 cougette and 2 cucumbers growing there now, lol!

Yeah. Need to keep my thinking head on, start simple then explore once I'm *good* ish
