I have had leaves growing at the end of some of my trusses. I have snipped them off. Is something wrong that this has happened.

Also the main stem has split into two on some of the toms and carried on growing producing trusses. Is this normal?

They are grown in the greenhouse using the ring culture method.

Yes, sometimes you do get leaves at the ends of the trusses with some varieties.  Cutting them off is fine.

"Splitting into two" sounds like inadequate side shooting to me.  One or two of mine have got away with this too.

Sometimes tomatoes are grown as a double cordon, so I guess leaving one side shoot to grow on is OK as long as they are well fed and watered.
