What is the best way to cook kohl rabi ? I have tried eating it in a salad but found it has not much taste.

Slice fairly thickly and steam or boil under tender.  Serve either with melted butter and black pepper, or a white sauce pepped up with nutmeg.  Mother was german so we ate kohl rabi lots!

Use them in a gratin (I do 50% potatoes, 50% kohl rabi) or also they make nice 'chips', flavoured with spices
