I sown 12 pumkins (suttons) a few weeks ago and everyone has failed to show   how could i tell the kids that halloween would be cancelled this year? so i have just nipped down to our local market for some bedding plants and there on his stall were a lovely tray of pumkins 6 plants for £2  8)

I bought some Atlantic Giant seeds, sowed them all hoping to thin down to 1 if necessary and none showed  :(
Then, a couple of weeks ago whilst routing around I found a packet of Blue pumpkins (can't remember the name but the seeds were electric blue) that I had bought nearly 18 months ago and never got round to sowing and Hey Presto - all germinated!!
Go figure..............

I planted 4 Atlantic Giant seeds and 1 germinated!

No wonder garden centres do so well with their potted veg!
