Title: Radish Glut
Post by: MidlandBrewer on July 19, 2017, 19:18
My radish rotation may have gone a person wrong and I now have about 10 times what I need (and ive already given loads to family).
Has anyone tried pickling/fermenting radish?, I hate the thought of them going to waste.

I had a huge batch a few weeks ago and added them to a fridge pickle.  I used this recipe, but subbed about half the cucumber for radish.  I also didn't have dill, so used parsley instead.  The pickle liquid went pink and the radishes went paler as a consequence, but it tasted good  :)

Sliced radish does make decent pickles, but you can also use it is stir fry, or roast them on a tray too
