I have removed your identical post in "the hen house".  There is no buying or selling allowed on the forum.  I suggest you look in the classifieds if no-one can point you in the right direction.

Whereabouts in the NorthEast are you Mickey?  I know you can't send PM's yet as you are new, but I'll send one to Agapanthus for you, She got some in Yorkshire the other year, but I can't remember where from!

the closest in England that I have found to you is Sheffield -

Staffies are softer than you think.

or go north over the border to just south west of Edinburgh to here -

Have you had a look in the various poultry magazines?
Is there a cattle market near you somewhere? They may have some for sale in their auctions.

Agapanthus said she can't remember exactly what the place was called where she got hers, it was something to do with pigs!  (honest!)  but here is a Google page with some ideas too!

Also Aggy reminded me there is a lot of Turkey rustling goes on around Christmas, so is it a good idea to keep them on an allotment?  How secure will they be from human predators?

And oh a PM is a private message, which you will be able to send once you have over 10 posts I think it is!

Thanks guys!  I'm going to get in touch with the guy I bought my chickens from.  I have 6 bluebells on the allotment already.  I'll have a look at the google page.
And Hmmm - I hadn't thought about keeping them away from rustlers - its definitely something to think about.  Thanks for the warning!

And keep the turkeys separate from your chickens in case they get blackhead and die on you!  :(

If I think of anything else, I'll let you know!  :)

....and considering the amount of feed these turkeys put away and then have them stolen would be a big wrench on the pocket too....not to mention the obvious heartbreak :(

so there are the following to consider:- rustlers, different feed and the cost, keeping them away from the chickens and also when to get them if you are raising for Christmas as it is too early to get them at the moment.
