Hi guys,

I want to plant some dwarf beans and am unsure as to whether or not they will need support, as I have never grown them before, also is it too early to plant them yet, our temps at the min are around 7degrees at night, and doubtful we will have anymore frosts here.

Also, is it too cold still to plant my toms outside, they are at present in pots in a plastic covered shelving which is opened up during the day and closed up at night.  They are thriving very well at the minute.  I was hoping to plant some of them around our well, which has an old water trough around it, that used to be for feeding the anmals, but is now my herb garden and slightly sheltered by the high concrete sides. I  have salad leaves growing in there already and they are doing fine, so I am thinking that a couple of tomato plants in there too, would be good.

Wot do you think :D

Awaiting responses from the oracles of this site, and thanking you in advance.

Cheers Auntyfifi xxx

French beans will sulk in cool temperatures, even if they don't die out-right. Dwarf ones don't usually need support they only grow about 2- 2half foot high.

Toms have to have a minimum of 10C or they go blue, so it may still be a bit too chilly for both of them, and I doubt that we are finished with frosts just yet :(

edit: I've just seen where you are..........and you may be right about no more frosts there  :D
