Electric fence up & runnig
« on: July 01, 2010, 19:27 »
At last electric fence arrived this morning, spent most of the day erecting it on the allotment at the back of our house. Cleared all the grass from around the bottom of it, connected it up, and as you do decided to try it out.
Braced myself for the shock, put my hand on the fence, NOTHING!!! >:(
Went all round the fence checking it was all done properly, yep, all ok.
Touched it again, NOTHING!!! >:(

So me being me had hold of the earthing rod to make sure it was in the ground deep enough, lost my balance, got hold of the netting with the other hand, guess what!!!

IT WORKS!!!!

oh boy, does it work, never even dawned on me that my rubber soled trainers were insulating me against a shock. :nowink:

Bring on the foxes, chickens going in there tomorrow. ;)
