after a winter in the shed i have just fired up my mower. It ran for 5 minutes before conking out howeverit does run if i tip it up on its front wheels. There is plenty of petrol in it and i know its flowing into the carb. Any ideas?

We had a similar problem with ours but it turned out we had too much petrol in and it was blocking a vent. Try taking a bit of petrol out if it is very full.

depending on the model of engine, I'd suggest you need a new carb diaphragm and the pick up filter cleaning.

id say the same , my mountfield was doing the same , i bought a 2nd hand carb from a spares place and it sorted my problem

took the carb apart there seemed to be water in there i guess condensation formed somehow gonna give it a try tonight
