Pumpkins
« on: October 03, 2014, 12:15 »
I have six pumpkins at various stages of changing colour, however, the vine is all but dead and the leaves that are left are covered in mildew. So, should I pick them all and will the ones with some green ripen with time, even though they are not on the vine? Thanks

Yes, they will ripen off the vine. Take as much stalk as you can for a handle when you cut them. Don't put them anywhere too cool as they won't like it and will actually store for less time. I keep mine in the kitchen on the windowsill and they keep for around 6 months there.
