Can anyone help with this question please..

Does anyone out there have one of these?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Parasene-Auto-Ignition-Weed-killer/dp/B000TAT8YU
http://www.wilko.com/weed-killers+weed-guards/apollo-weed-burner/invt/0341509

Its the same one by the looks, I dont want it for burning weeds down tho may still use for that, the main reason is for producing holes in weed membrane as the heat will seal it, I have seen these used before on you tube for this purpose.

The question I have is what is the diameter of the nozzel at the end?

Punk isn't dead...it's underground where it belongs. If it comes to the surface it's no longer punk...it's Green Day!

Yes I've got the parasene one the end of it is probably 20mm or so. I cut crosses in my membrane & then when it frayed just wafted it with the weed wand. I made some new holes with it too, not very precise but did the job

Cheers Snowdrops. I was using a soldering iron where I sharpened the end and used it like a hot knife but just seen on you tube someone using them torches and thought that would be easier.

ALDI's occasionally sell gas soldering irons, they have removable tips so you can use a very fine flame. I would think a 'turbo-lighter' would work as well. A bit more controllable than a weed gun.

I have had one for years. Ignition system not too good, so i light mine with a kitchen gas lighter. Great on steps, paths and drives.

When I was involved in commercial horticulture I used a paraffin de-weeder with a hood powered with a blow lamp arrangement.  It sounded like a jet engine, but was extremely effective and enabled weeding close to plants.  I wish I had it now.

Thank Offwego.  The burner I had was like glyphosate on steroids.
