Title: B & S landmaster rotavator spark plug?
Post by: johnb34 on April 09, 2011, 18:45
Hi Everyone, Can any one please help?, We have inherited a 1961 Briggs and Straton Rotavator Landmaster L140.
Problem is, it came to us with no spark plug in it an due to age we are having trouble finding out what one it requires.
If someone could point us in the right direction we would be very grateful. Most  websites we find aren't so helpful for older models.
Cheers John and Helen.

All small side valve single cylinder B & S engines that I have come across use a Champion J8 plug or derivative of it. The newer Champion J19LM is OK if you don't have a "binding post" plug cap as the top does not screw off.

Try the "Green spark plug company".  very big in vintage and veteran motorcycle plugs.  I'll bet they can provide.   ::)  Cheers,   Tony.
