on a little trip to the next tow with hubby and his mates they went forr beer i went for a look around went to a lovley butcher got some northumberland sausage smells fantastic and a few its and bobs then found a lovley cafe all homemade stuff had a coffee and a piece of toffee pecan cake with a chocolate on the top how good was that and they topped my cup up before i left , very nice wll be going back there  xx

That 'top up' means so much doesn't it? It must pay dividends ...... such a simple gesture which costs very little.

Top ups are expected here, yet not all restaurants or cafes do. And sadly, they top up only coffee, never tea with extra water for the pot. On occasion I do ask for extra water for the teeny pot I'm given, and the serving person acts like I've asked them to dance on the table.  ::)

yes felt nice to have a no pressure top up, i was having a good look around at what everyone was eating looked good , there is a cafe in my own town its an art cafe with just as good stuff and a man playing a piano also tonnes of pictures ornaments nice stuff not tatt i love it hubbys not keen on the piano . :D
