Does anyone have any idea what this plant is please. Friend or foe  :lol:
I feel as though I should recognise it.

Oops they will have to come out then. In daughters garden so that will be my job :lol:

They have very long taproots and if you break it off, up pops another plant. They can be a real menace in the garden as they seed everywhere too. Lovely flowers though, and the large patch by our allotment gate is always buzzing with insects when the sun shines, plus they are the food of Scarlet Tiger moth caterpillars so we let some grow along the side of the driveway at home for them
