… beeline for the nearest hostelry to calm his shattered nerves and restore his dignity. After a tincture or several he headed to the gent's only to find he'd caught a bit of his string vest in his flies. Being an ex-boy scout he rummaged in his pockets for his trusty penknife and un-picked a few stitches down one side. Feeling mightily relieved he was wandering back in the direction of the bar, then somehow he took a wrong turn and found himself standing in front of a very large and full-length mirror. After tucking the remains of his vest back into his flies which by now were looking rather insecurely attached, he looked back into the mirror and saw a strange mist swirling around him, and a voice suddenly said "I am the ghost of Christmas Past and I've come to tell you …….
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
