My parsnips were a dismal failure so I started some off in paper tubes,now I have ended up with three in one in some.Should I attempt to seperate them or put them in as they are?

I think they've probably got enough to do fighting their way out of the paper tubes without having to put up with competition from adjacent siblings!

Assuming they're not already too big to do so I'd pull out the extra seedlings to leave one per pot (if they come out intact you could try transplanting them, although good results are far from guaranteed.)

I'd put them as they are and in a couple of weeks pull out the smallest leaving just 1.

To avoid damaging the root of the seedling you want, try cutting the unwanted seedlings with scissors or nip the stems.
