I have Tender and True but they don't last past Christmas and the New Year!

We eat them...sorry. :D

Not sure how long they last but should be out of the ground before March I would think due to sowing ect.

I've never had luck storing them, they dry out far too quickly on me. So I simply peel and coarsely chop them for the freezer. They could also be purred with carrots into a mash for the freezer.

As to when to get them out of the ground, it should be well before the weather becomes nice for spring planting or the snips go into seed mode.

i put a row across the lottie,as its only me and the mrs that eats them, one cuts into four so its taking a while to go through them.might have to try some curried parsnip soup from the recipe site. :tongue2:

My T&T are still in the ground and I expect they'll be Ok for another month at least without starting to sprout   :) :)

Mine usually start sprouting towards the end of March.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I usually leave mine in the ground until about April.  If they are in the way I lift them and heal them in in a spare corner.

Cheers,

Gillie
