Yesterday I arose from my slumbers to see a sky the colour of forget-me-nots, the morning's sun shining on the gently rolling hills and the little copses of trees almost looked on fire in their new autumnal robes. As I clasped my first cup of tea my heart sang with joy with the promise of a new day ahead then ................ my husband came in and said "Cat's just peed ont' hall carpet."

Oh....THANK YOU, GG - that really made me laugh!!!   I know it shouldn't have, but it did.  Your cat really rained on your parade, didn't it.   I hope the rest of your day continued in the way that it started, and not in the way it was so rudely interrupted.
