Title: lawnmower advice
Post by: owein on July 30, 2009, 21:42
Any suggestions for a decent mid piced lawnmower?

I have a lot of grass to cut, about an acre in various sized portions. And my land varies greatly from levelish to 45 degree slopes

I have been using a cheap champion petrol push mower quite happily (albeit sweatily!) for the last three years but it has finaly packed up.

Am interested in mulching mowers but have no experience of them. Saw a mountfield one for about £340 in B&Q.

Any advice would be great

Thanks a lot

I'd go for something Honda engined, four wheels, maybe a Honda Izzy. they're pretty well built, and last longer than the newer Mountfields. :)

Thanks, I saw a champion self propeled mower with a honda 160cc engine for a reasonable price. Any opinions?

I don't like the gearboxes for the drive, but apart from that.....
