Flower seeds to sow now for next year
« on: July 20, 2012, 21:08 »
As the title says, I am looking for suggestions of what to sow now. I already have wallflowers on my list. This is for blooms through next year around the garden and allotment. Suitable for cutting would be a bonus. Any suggestions?
Thanks for looking  :)

Thank you snowdrops, I've ordered some seed of each of your suggestions.
Should get my garden looking brighter sooner next year  ;)

Sweet-smelling stocks would be lovely too. There are different varieties like Brompton, etc, but have a look I think they are biennials though.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Most hardy annuals can be sown this month and August: Ageratums, limanthes, borage, calendula, cerinthe purpurascens, cornflowers, cleome, delphiniums, gypsophila, larkspur, sweet peas, love in a mist.
