Post by: karlooben on August 27, 2009, 20:02
one of my girls was laying out in the run tonight at 6,30 when i put them away which is not like this girl , i checked under her a few times and i felt something on one side of her which may of been an egg but it was up between the legs and to the  left side of her nearest the hip joint of her body would it be trapped that far up if shes egg bound , am praying if she is then it  pops  out during the night i cant be doing with a dodgy chicken as well as a dog at the mo

Hi looby. Is the lump actually underneath or more on the front ?

Just eliminating the crop from our enquiries. :D

the lump is more to the left of her but directly  between the legs so its half way from the vent to the crop . i speak to sarah last night an shes told me what to do if she is egg bound but i checked my girl this morning and although i can still feel something its not as bad as last night also she flew out the house with the others an pecked at the food .
