I have found you cant get the spares for the carburettor on this machine so it either find a new needle or change the whole carburettor.

Just on the off-chance, has anyone got an old JCB LT26 for breaking parts I could buy a needle or carburettor from please?

Sorted - I was able to order a replacement carburettor for the model from JCB after-sales - £31.00 including p+p from Germany.

An expensive lesson in dismantling small parts into a plastic box on a towel so things are less likely to roll away and get lost.

Will I learn?

All you lost was a carb needle!  I've 'misplaced' all my Bonnie engine bits  north of the head gasket rockers, valves, rocker covers cylinder head the lot.  It's in this house somewhere. . .
